Walk MS: Frankenmuth – 2023

May 13, 2023 - 8:30 am to 1:00 pm

Crowd of participants at a Walk MS event

Walk MS is an annual fundraising event organized by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to raise awareness and funds for multiple sclerosis (MS) research, education, and support services. MS is a chronic autoimmune disease of the central nervous system that affects millions of people worldwide. The disease causes the immune system to attack the myelin sheath that surrounds nerve fibers, leading to symptoms such as numbness, tingling, weakness, and difficulty with coordination and balance.

The Michigan chapter of the National MS Society will host eight walks throughout the state in 2023. To support the National MS Society through a Walk MS event, locate the walk closest to you and start or join a team. You can then raise funds through their online platform. Walk events are family-friendly and will offer a 1-mile and 3-mile walk route.
